Dictator Trump’s appointee to head up the immigration courts
Yes, I know that Dictator Trump is sending the National Guard to Chicago while threatening to jail both the mayor and the governor. And yes, I know that because the courts are telling him not to send the National Guard anywhere, he is contemplating declaring martial law. I am watching it closely.
But I thought that we could all use a break and a little levity to lighten things up. So here’s today’s giggle.
Dictator Trump has appointed Daren K. Margolin, a retired Marine Corps. Colonel, as the head of the immigration court system. Marine, officer, retired. Sounds good, right? Prior to retirement, he served as a lawyer and was Head of Security at Quantico. Even better, right?
Prior to being appointed by the dictator as the head of the immigration court system, Col. Margolin was appointed by the dictator in 2020 as an assistant chief immigration judge and served in that role until 2024.
Okay, nothing to laugh at there. In fact, unlike a lot of the dictator’s appointees, he seems to actually be qualified for the position. No, we will have to go back a few years in Margolin’s career as a Marine. Say, all the way back to 2013. When it was reported that he “negligently” discharged…
