Trump was aiming for “shock and awe” his first week in office and I gotta say, he succeeded. We are all in shock over the number of actions he has taken and in awe of the flagrant illegality of a lot of them.

A federal judge has already temporarily blocked Trump’s “interpretation” of the 14th Amendment to do away with birthright citizenship for children of undocumented migrants and foreign visitors. The judge called it “blatantly unconstitutional” and “mind boggling” which is legal-speak for “you’re a fucking moron.”

I can’t wait to hear what a judge has to say about Trump’s latest violation of the law. Not surprisingly, he fired 12 to 17 (depending on who you talk to) Inspectors General, Friday night via email saying “due to changing priorities, your position as inspector general was terminated, effective immediately.”

No surprise there. Inspector Generals are supposed to keep an eye on their departments to make sure that everything is on the up and up. Watchdogs as it were. Trump doesn’t want anyone to see or report what he or his underlings are doing, so the watchdogs had to go.

Inspector Generals of the departments of agriculture, commerce, defense, education, housing and urban development…
