The military is currently divided (there were active military among the insurrectionists). Both the federal courts and the Supreme Court have been packed with conservative judges. Red states have changed both the voting laws and how votes are cast and counted AND who determines the winner.

Our democracy is on life support. It probably won't live past 2022 or 2024.
