We need to stop treating Trump like he is still president
I have a bone to pick with Patrick Labat, the sheriff of Fulton County Georgia. He promised that Trump would be treated like every other accused felon booked into the notorious Rice Street Jail. A jail so awful, that it’s currently under investigation by the DOJ because inmates have died there from the horrific conditions.
Labat said Trump would be measured, weighed, fingerprinted and have a mug shot taken just like everyone else. Because of the number of criminals being processed each day, Trump would be forced to rub shoulders with the hoi polloi for several hours.
FINALLY! Finally someone who would refuse to play along with Trump’s charade of still being the president. Someone who would treat him like the private citizen he is, no better than anyone else.
And we would finally find out how tall he really is and how much he really weighs.
You can imagine my Dance of Joy.
It was a very brief dance. I don’t know if they paid Labat off or have something on him, but he succumbed to the Secret Service’s (and Trump’s) demand that Trump be treated like the president he is not and has not been since January 20, 2021.
