The other side of that argument is that prosecuting and convicting Trump would tear the country apart. There would be armed rebellion. Like January 6 on steroids in every state.

That’s an important consideration. Do you do what’s right and possibly have people dying in the streets or do you just let Trump’s dementia do your work for you and render him a hollow man, condemned to die helpless in bed lying in his own shit?
