The problem is that everyone lied to the public. This film was marketed as a film made by NASA with real kids when in reality it was a scripted film made by a commercial company with no ties to NASA and used child actors.

NASA lied to the public. The office of the Vice President lied to the public.

There was enough lying by public officials in the Trump administration. The Biden administration was supposed to be a break from the flagrant dishonesty of the Trump administration.
