The problem is that the case would have to be brought by the DOJ and AG Garland seems to be too timid to try to charge and convict Trump. It’s not Congressional Democrats who are to blame, it’s Garland who has turned out to be a spectacularly bad pick for AG. His cowardice is dooming all of us to another Trump term.
