The problem with Trump is that he is a former president and that, rightly or wrongly, confers a modicum of leniency towards his behavior. He can literally get away with crimes that would land ordinary people in court because law enforcement and the legal system is afraid to touch him. They need to get over it. He is a common thug and should be treated like one.
