The same thing has happened here - Congressional members being wheeled into the chamber on hospital stretchers to vote.

I think the thing that everyone overlooks is that these elderly people, healthy or not, are determining the future of the country, a future that they will not see. Young people, who will actually be living in that future, should be the ones to determine what that future looks like.
