There is a shortlist of three names

I have been accused of never admitting when I am wrong, but regular readers know that I never hesitate to admit when I’m wrong and this is one of those times.

I was sure that Trump would choose a woman as his VP and my choice was Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York. Well, I was wrong. Apparently Trump’s shortlist of VP choices is very short one consisting of three men. Gov. Doug Burgum of North Dakota, Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio, and surprising, at least to me, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida.

Let’s take a closer look at all three, starting with Liddle Marco, as Trump called him when he ran against him in 2016.

This is the choice I don’t get. Why would anyone think that Trump would consider Rubio fit to be his vice president? He’s Hispanic and we all know how Trump feels about minorities. He prefers to surround himself with white men. That’s his comfort zone.

Rubio and Trump famously knocked heads during the 2016 campaign especially when Rubio made fun of Trump’s small hands, insinuating that they were a reflection of a small penis.
