The variants are partially the fault of the US who has hoarded vaccines to inoculate their own people and withheld them from lesser developed countries allowing the virus to run free to mutate. It’s in the best interest of the US to inoculate the entire world because eventually one or more of those mutations will be immune to the vaccine.
