This is a sad day for Medium. Politically Speaking has been the best political pub on Medium. And I’m not saying that because I wrote for it. I’ve read, or tried to read, the garbage that passes for political writing on this platform. Only the highest quality writing made it into PS.

Publishing in Politically Speaking has been a privilege. It was an honor to be published alongside a group of talented and thoughtful political writers.

I can’t say that I am surprised that you are burned out. It’s perfectly understandable given the volume of submissions and the meticulous editing you and your editorial team offered your authors.

I’m happy that you are stepping back to do some much-needed self-care and looking forward to reading your musings on the political landscape.
