Threats Against FBI Agents and Prosecutors are Increasing
The FBI is setting up a new unit to investigate the increasing number of threats
NBC News is reporting that threats against FBI agents and prosecutors investigating the various cases against Trump, as well as Hunter Biden, have grown so much that the department has been forced to form a brand-new unit to deal with them.
WTF?
What happened to writing letters to the editor? Or to your representatives in Congress?
Since when have Americans, not citizens of third world banana republics, started threatening people who are just doing their jobs? And, apparently, the families of the people who are just doing their jobs?
And it’s not just threats. Some agents (and their families) have been victims of “swatting.” For those of you who are not aficionados of police procedural dramas, swatting is when someone calls in a report to the police that results in a SWAT team being sent to a victim’s house. They break down the doors and rush inside with guns drawn.
It looks pretty cool on TV, but probably not so much when it’s your house that is suddenly being invaded by heavily armed officers shouting commands.
