So I was all set to rant about the countries on Trump’s new shitlist. Ya know, the ones where if you happen to be unlucky enough to be a citizen, you will no longer be able to set foot in this country.

Apparently, there are three categories. Red for countries which are totally banned, orange for “visas sharply restricted,” and yellow for “60 days to address concerns.” We’ll get into this another time.

I found something even more interesting to rant about: Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota and one-time vice-presidential candidate is running for president!

Let’s back up a bit. The NYT had a splashy article about all the Democratic people who may be running for president. Okay, let’s call ’em like they are. Men. Almost all are white men. Kinda looks like a Republican lineup.

Most presidential campaigns start two years before the election. After the midterms, when people have had time to digest and dissect the results. But this time around, the likely candidates are already announcing, coyly hinting, or coincidentally travelling to battleground states.
