I’ve been learning a lot of new shit since Trump took office. Again. Like the Impoundment Act which was passed in 1974. It says that a president must spend money that has been allocated by Congress. It was passed because Richard Nixon tried to hold up money that funded programs he didn’t like.

So, fifty years later, along comes Trump who never met a law he didn’t want to break. He froze all Federal funding except Social Security and Medicare (can’t piss off the old folks) until it could be reviewed for … well, I’ll let his minions tell you …

“The use of Federal resources to advance Marxist equity, transgenderism, and green new deal social engineering policies is a waste of taxpayer dollars that does not improve the day-to-day lives of those we serve.”

Actually, that’s true. None of those things improve the day-to-day lives of the billionaires who elected Trump.

And it’s also a violation of the Impoundment Act.
