Trump Is Challenging the Results of the 2024 Election
He has found a new way to suppress Democratic votes
It’s déjà vu all over again. Trump is challenging the outcome of the 2024 election. What’s that you say? The election hasn’t even been held yet? No problem. This is Trump and he wants to make damn sure that there is no way in hell that he is going to lose in 2024.
Even if he has to cheat. Like he does when he plays golf.
Trump and his … God, I don’t even know what to call them … fellow election deniers, maybe, have moved on from conspiracy theories about voting machines that change votes. Cuz you know, lawsuits and all that.
The newest target of Trump’s wrath is the Electronic Registration Information Center or ERIC. ERIC has been used since 2012 to verify voter registration rolls. It was designed by a non-partisan group. This fact will become important in a moment.
ERIC uses non-public information like DMV records, Social Security Administration death records, and change of address records to compare voter rolls from different states to look for inaccuracies. Stuff like people registered in more than one state or at more than one address within a state.
