Trump Is Holding a Fundraiser to Pay His Co-Defendants’ Legal Bills
He can no longer afford to pay the fees himself
Trump’s legal bills are really starting to pile up. So much so, that he can no longer pay the legal bills of his co-defendants in his four indictments. He needs every penny in his Save America super PAC, which should probably be renamed to Save Trump because that has become its sole purpose. To pay Trump’s onerous legal bills.
This is despite the fact that Trump is supposedly a billionaire and could pay his own legal bills without making a dent in his “fortune.” I doubt very much that Trump is a billionaire and if he started paying for his own legal bills, he would have to very quickly give up his 30-year-old plane, his hideously gilded penthouse, and his lavish lifestyle.
But that’s not what I want to talk about today. Today, I want to talk about how everything is an opportunity to grift for Trump.
When Trump’s old buddy, Rudy Giuliani, came to him to beg him to pay the millions Trump owes him for his (Rudy) failed attempts to overturn the 2020 election, Trump blew him off. So Rudy sent his son Andrew to lobby on his behalf and Trump came up with this idea.
