I’ve been puzzling for a few days over Trump’s frantic filings in Georgia trying to make the election interference charges disappear. I read widely on it but just couldn’t figure out his rationale for asking that the charges be dismissed and the DA, Fani Willis, be disqualified from anything to do with the case.

I’m no lawyer. I don’t even play one on TV, but I can usually read filings and figure out on what basis they are being made. But in this case, I couldn’t for the life of me find any valid reason why his legal team said that this case should be thrown out.

Of course, there’s no mystery why Trump wants Willis off the case and anything related to it. She is Black and a woman. Either one of those would automatically disqualify her in Trump’s mind, but to be both? Whoa. Double whammy. She’s lucky he’s not calling for her execution.

Finally, I found an article that says even legal experts say that there is no basis for what Trump’s legal team is requesting. Phew, thought I was losin’ it there for minute.

So now the question is, why is Trump so frantic to stop the charges in Georgia?
