Trump Shows His Cards
His takeover of the RNC demonstrates exactly what he will do to the federal government if he is re-elected.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. Trump’s shakeup at the RNC is just a dress rehearsal for what he will do should he be re-elected in November. I wrote about that here.
Let’s take a closer look at what is going on at the RNC.
First, there was the mass firing of over half the staff including senior staff members and the heads of the communications, data, and political departments.
How is that equivalent to a new Trump term?
Near the end of Trump’s first term, he signed an executive order for what is called Schedule F which allows for career civil servants to be fired for no reason. His intention was to root out what he called the Deep State, career civil servants who were loyal to the Constitution, rather than the president.
They repeatedly stymied Trump’s plans and policies. Trump wants to be able to appoint civil servants who are loyal to him and who will always do what he wants.
Biden repealed Schedule F on his first day in office. Trump plans to reinstate it on his first day back in office.
