Trump’s Rally in Support of Striking Auto Workers

I want to backtrack a little today and write about Trump’s rally in Michigan on Wednesday; his counterprogramming to the second Republican debate. It had been on my editorial calendar for yesterday but then Dianne Feinstein inconveniently died and threw my schedule off.
So, let’s talk about Trump’s rally to support the union workers who are on strike against the Big Three automakers.
Biden had a campaign event at the actual picket line on the same day. His visit lasted 12 minutes. He mumbled into a bullhorn and shuffled a few steps along the picket line, shaking hands.
Trump, on the other hand, had a traditional (for him) rally at Drake Enterprises, a local auto parts manufacturer and supplier.
Coupla things. One, no one on his staff did their homework. If they had, they would have known that Drake is a non-union company.
Kinda hard to show support for striking union members when there are no striking union members present. Or any union members for that matter.
