We will have to agree to disagree. The intent of the Dems when they added this was to target high earners who have not been audited much because their returns are so complex. The IRS did not have the manpower necessary to devote to those returns so they concentrated on the low hanging fruit, small business and low and middle income taxpayers.

The Republicans are vehemently against it because they depend on donations from the very people who would be most affected by more agents to audit them.
