What I find most troubling is that they got rid of the algorithm that used to suggest articles based on your reading history. I discovered some great writers through those suggestions. And readers discovered my articles. Now if you don’t already follow an author, they are invisible. The only way to get in front of new readers is by publishing in a pub. And the pubs are being inundated so they are adding fewer and fewer new writers. There is just no way any more to expand your audience and make money if you are not one of the established writers with a huge following.
