In case you’ve never noticed, I read the New York Times religiously. It’s my local paper. Okay, technically, I live in New Jersey so my local paper is the Star Ledger. But if you’ve ever read the Star Ledger, you know that it’s the middle school version of the New York Times.

Yes, it’s that bad.

But back to the NYT. I noticed that the NYT coverage of Harris was less than enthusiastic right from the get-go. When she was gathering delegates for her nomination, the NYT’s reporting rather than the breathless enthusiasm of other news outlets, was more “just the facts, ma’am” style.

And the Times made more of a big deal of the other speakers at the convention, than Harris. Their coverage of her acceptance speech was lukewarm at best.

Then the real animosity began. Every positive they wrote about her was balanced by a negative. If they had anything positive to say about her at all.

Their reporting on her big interview was almost as brutal as mine. You can read it here. You can read my own take on the interview here.

Meanwhile, all the polls have shown Harris catching up to and then drawing ahead of Trump. True, her lead is within the margin of error…
