Why Hasn’t Clarence Thomas Been Impeached — Part Deux
He has been hiding gifts of lavish vacations
I don’t understand why Clarence Thomas is still on the Supreme Court. He has committed crime after crime, but is still allowed to sit in judgement of others.
What crimes has he committed?
Let’s start at his confirmation hearing. No, not the part where a woman who alleged he sexually harassed her was utterly humiliated in front of Congress and the entire country.
No, I’m talking about the part where he was asked about Roe v. Wade and lied by claiming he had no personal opinion about it. Here’s what I wrote:
“Liar, liar, pants on fire. EVERYONE has a personal opinion on Roe. He didn’t need to share his personal opinion but to categorically deny any opinion at all on the most important court case since Brown v. Board of Education was both a lie and an affront to the Judiciary Committee and the American people.”
Remember, he was testifying under oath. He lied, so he should be impeached and convicted, the only way to remove a Supreme Court Justice.
