Will DeSantis Extradite Trump?
Publicly, he is saying no
I’m not going to comment on Trump’s indictment. Yet. I’m waiting to see what kind of a circus will happen when he turns himself in.
But I will say this. I’m sorry that Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg was the first out of the starting gate with his case. Prosecuting Trump for paying off a porn star is like prosecuting Al Capone for tax evasion. Quite a letdown.
I was hoping that Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis would beat Bragg to the punch and indict Trump first. In my opinion, she has the strongest case. It’s no “what did he really mean?” case. There is a recording of Trump demanding that Georgia Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger, change the result of the 2020 election in Georgia.
It’s clearly Trump speaking and it’s equally clear what he wants Raffensperger to do. It’s an open and shut case of election fraud solicitation with an automatic jail term of one to three years.
But what I really want to talk about today is the Dark Lord of Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis. Ronnie has been having a tough time lately. He started out the year on a high note, leading Trump in the polls, but has been on a definite downward trend lately.
