New Hampshire Refuses to Change the Date of Its Primary Election
Democrats are starting to panic
--
Tick, tock. We are rapidly counting down to the June 3 deadline when New Hampshire is required to change its law that says that they must be the first state in the nation to hold a presidential primary.
Why must New Hampshire change its law? Cuz Biden reordered the Democratic primary calendar so that South Carolina now goes first and New Hampshire not only will have to go second, but they will share a date with Nevada.
And … it just gets better and better … the governor of New Hampshire is a Republican and the legislature is majority Republican, so ya know that there is no way in hell that they are going to change a law that not only benefits Democrats but if it isn’t changed, will also cause the Democrats’ preferred candidate, Joe Biden, to lose his first primary.
They’ve got champagne on ice and are ready to celebrate.
In case you’re wondering, the Republican party has not changed the order of its primaries. This is purely a self-inflicted Democratic problem.
I’ve written about this before. Twice. Here and here. So you may be wondering why I am writing about it again.
Well, all kinds of stuff has happened since I penned those articles. Let’s talk about what has been going on.
The DNC (Democratic National Committee) has come up with a couple of possible workarounds. Their first one is to nix the deadline and give New Hampshire more time to change their law.

The second idea that they came up with is to hold a party-run primary. What is that you ask?
It’s where the party, instead of the state, holds the election. That way, it will be the primary that “counts,” not the state-run primary. So New Hampshire won’t be penalized by losing delegates and Biden can run without suffering any (to be determined) sanctions.
There’s just one tiny problem. I’ll let Ray Buckley, chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party explain the problem:
“Where would I rent 2,000 voting machines? Hire 1,500 people to run the…
