Judges Make Opposing Decisions and It’s All SCOTUS’ Fault
This is what happens when you don’t think things through
Welcome to a special edition of MAGA Morons Don’t Think Things Through. In this edition, rather than railing about an out-of-control governor who is drunk on power or the foibles of a Republican majority state legislature, we are going straight to the top and looking at a decision made by the Supreme Court.
The conservatives on the Supreme Court had wanted to get rid of legal abortion for ages. The three justices appointed by Trump were appointed specifically to overturn Roe v. Wade. They were just waiting for the right case.
That case came in the form of Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization. The justices took a quick glance at their pocket Constitutions and gleefully declared that there was nothing in the Constitution about abortion.
They only needed a quick look cuz while they were waiting for the right case to come along, they had already carefully studied the document to make that there wasn’t a single syllable in it that could be construed as a right to abortion.
